Murray Robertson is a highly motivated leader with over two decades of expertise in the civil infrastructure sector. He joined Downer in 2008 as a Project Engineer and over the last 16 years has worked right across the divisions and now leads a $4bn trans-Tasman Transport & Infrastructure business.
In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Murray has a skilled team of 6,500 who manage and maintain road networks across Australasia, and provide civil and commercial construction in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
Well regarded for his can-do down to earth attitude, Murray prides himself in working with high-performance teams and leads by example. Murray is a chartered professional engineer, a Fellow of both Engineering NZ and Engineers Australia, holds an executive MBA, and sits on the Downer Group Executive Committee.
