
Murray is currently Director of Infrastructure and Place at Auckland Transport. This role includes management of $28 billion transport infrastructure assets and delivery of an annual $1.5 billion capital delivery programme for the people of Tamaki Makaurau.
Murray has an international career spanning 25 years, including senior roles in United Nations, successfully managing delivery of infrastructure and placemaking programmes in some of the world’s most politically complex and challenging environments.
Recognised as a Fellow of Engineering NZ, Murray has extensive experience across the full lifecycle of infrastructure planning, delivery and maintenance, together with a sound understanding of transit-oriented development, urban design, and placemaking.
