David has developed a career encompassing many industry sectors but all have been based on working with talented individuals in multi-disciplinary teams, to achieve networked, integrated solutions.
His experience as owner/operator of commercial businesses, Chief Executive of a Professional Services Company, a local Authority and establishing Auckland Transport (AT), provide a grounding in the diverse requirements of both public and private delivery entities.
David’s 7 years as CE of AT saw the introduction of the “HOP” travel card, the procurement and delivery of the EMU trains, the integration of bus & ferry service providers while growing the Roading network for an expanding city. His background in infrastructure and capital delivery programmes culminated in the establishment of CRL and the early construction contracts, prior to the Crown establishing a separate entity.
His recent responsibilities in transport, (managing the now terminated Interislander Ferry upgrade programme), utilities (water and wastewater solutions) and urban development provides the basis for an integrated, data-based solutions for NZ Inc.
