Caroline Boot is one of New Zealand’s most experienced and passionate champions of procurement capability development, Caroline has worked for more than 20 years to train, support, advise and lead best practice in procurement for both suppliers and clients.

Through the long-standing and unique Clever Buying procurement training programme, Caroline and her team have boosted procurement capability for thousands of public sector procurement staff throughout New Zealand’s local authorities, Waka Kotahi offices, ministries and departments in the past decade. 

She holds an MBA with Distinction as well as post-graduate education qualifications; is a director; a qualified Tender Evaluator and Assessor; a member of MBIE’s Business Reference Group for Procurement and several key industry organisations.
The Diploma in NZ Public Sector Procurement that she has developed remains the most popular, up-to-date and relevant training for procurement practitioners operating in New Zealand’s government organisations.
