Kylie Bourke is a Project Manager at Higgins Contractors with over 26 years’ experience in the civil construction industry, and she still loves what she does.

Based in Northland, Kylie has led major maintenance contracts across local and state highways, including work for Whangarei District Council, NX2, and various other project across the region. She’s currently bringing her practical, people-first approach to the Kaiwaikawe Wind Farm project.

Over the years, she’s built a reputation for strong contract delivery, trusted relationships, and a hands-on leadership style. Kylie has been a proud member of Civil Contractors New Zealand for more than a decade - from judging excavator comps to now serving her fourth year as Chair of CCNZ Northland.

She’s passionate about helping the next generation succeed in this industry, especially by making career pathways clearer, more inclusive, and better supported. Kylie brings a straight-talking, real-world perspective to the Youth Leadership Panel at Future Roads 2025.
