Ben is Chief Executive of Fulton Hogan New Zealand, with over 20 years’ experience in working across the infrastructure sector, including design, materials supply, major project construction, and general management of associated multi-disciplinary civil contracting and asset management businesses, in both New Zealand and Australia.

Ben has overall responsibility for Fulton Hogan’s New Zealand operations which employees over 6500 staff and delivers infrastructure solutions across a range of sectors including roads and bridges, water and wastewater networks, ports and airports, and utilities.  

Ben is passionate about infrastructure policy that generates a healthy and sustainable industry to deliver New Zealand’s future needs. In particular, a clear infrastructure strategy with certainty of the project pipeline, development of the skills and human capital to complete complex works and effective procurement.

Ben is a Chartered Professional Engineer and Fellow of Engineering New Zealand. He is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He holds a BE (Hons), ME (Transportation) and an MBA. Ben holds a number of company Directorships.  He is also a member of the Industry Advisory Board for the Department of Civil and Natural Resources Engineering at the University of Canterbury, a board member for Infrastructure New Zealand and sits on a number of New Zealand infrastructure projects’ governance boards.
